Ava Khera is best known for her narrative portraits and figurative work depicted in a painterly realist style. Based in Birmingham, United Kingdom, Ava is self-taught with a background in design before transitioning to fine art. Ava’s oil paintings are inspired by personal experiences and memories that are expressed through poetic storytelling. With its emphasis on deep colour palettes, loose brushwork and portraying human emotion, each subject is rendered in multiple layers to depict soft, sensorial forms.
Currently, Ava’s work is receiving global recognition through gallery exhibitions. In 2021, she received recognition as a finalist for The Women In Art Prize.
