Emma Louise Woolley is a multidisciplinary artist based in Birmingham, working from YST Studios in Digbeth’s Custard Factory. Her practice spans expressive portraiture, painting, and design, exploring human emotion, connection, and inner worlds through immersive visual storytelling.

Blending traditional techniques with contemporary design sensibilities, her work invites viewers into moments of intimacy and wonder. Emma’s pieces often centre on the human face as a vessel for emotion, with a focus on the unseen stories that lie beneath.

She is also a Senior Art Director at You Say Tomato, where she brings a creative, research-led approach to brand storytelling. Her art and design practices are deeply interwoven, rooted in curiosity, communication, and connection.
