I am a pastel artist. I use pastels for the primal experience of fingers, pigment, surface.

I like surprising people’s pre-conception of pastels with vibrant pigment layers (mostly they’ve only seen them used in pale depictions of courtroom villains).

I paint cityscapes, portraits, landscapes and flowers.
