Blacksmithing in the Black Country!

At Boots and Blisters, we set our self apart by offering highly skilled welding and fabrication services alongside heritage blacksmithing and forging techniques.

Our workshop is proudly located in Cradley Heath in the heart of the Black Country. Famously, it was in this region that the massive anchor for the Titanic was made, showcasing the incredible industrial prowess of the time. During the 19th century, the area became a bustling centre for nail and chain making, where women accounted for two thirds of the chain makers. In 1910, in a display of solidarity and determination, around 1000 local women engaged in a ten-week-long strike, successfully campaigning for the implementation of a minimum rate of pay.

We warmly welcome visitors to our Cradley Heath workshop for classes and demonstrations, as well as to the original chain making shop located at nearby Mushroom Green.

Our blacksmith services include:

Custom railings, gates and handrails, sculptural and artistic pieces, garden furniture, blacksmith tools, garden tools and fire sets, coat hooks and kitchen hooks, traditional nail making, restoration and repairs, heritage chainmaking.
