Bluebeard works in pen and ink, creating images using pointillism, which means that each image takes between 40 and 90 hours to produce in the form of hundreds of thousands of tiny dots. Bluebeard’s themes tend towards the esoteric and spiritual, with elements of archaeology and some animal portraits, which also tend to have mystical, mythic connections.
