Some words from our Ambassador Joe Lycett, local comedian and supporter of the arts:
“I’ve been a proud ambassador of Birmingham Open Studios for years now and think it’s a brilliant and unique way of seeing the incredible art our city has to offer.
It’s the best opportunity to nosey round people’s studios, homes, print presses, sheds and more to see what incredible (and sometimes quite weird) things they’ve made.

Since 2023, Joe Lycett has done a fantastic job as ambassador, helping promote the event via his huge following on social media. He also made some of our artists’ event when he visited their studios, and purchased artworks from them directly.
Joe has recently agreed to continue his role of ambassador for 2025.
